Heart of the Nation is an Australian charity and social enterprise with a focus on the community response to sudden cardiac arrest.
Our vision is to ensure an increased survival rate of sudden cardiac arrest by leading change through education, training and the increased accessibility to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at all locations across the country.
Through our programs, we empower communities to turn bystanders into responders by giving the public confidence to identify and access an AED in time of need and ensuring that every person above school age has awareness of how to identify cardiac arrest and now to administer basic first aid.
Heart of the Nation has a lived experience with cardiac arrest and we provide unique insights from the perspective of survivors, first responders and those who have been personally touched by this health issue.
We operate as a defibrillator brokerage, providing choice and support for a range of defibrillator brands, sell first aid kits and restocking services and deliver high quality accredited first aid training courses in both public and private courses.
Heart of the Nation has high quality first aid trainers who have medical/paramedical experience and who provide expert training which is targeted the audience. Trainers provide real life insights to dealing with medical emergencies and help increase the skills and confidence levels of all participants.
